The pc even brought back an old 'home page' in internet explorer that I havent used in 3 years. When I click on START >>My documents>> I only saw 3 default folders that are Start>>my documents, without having to look in the computer>c drive> documents and settings area each time. Startup repair not working
Restarting my computer and bringing every window back does not give a repeat problem. Also there is no set number as to the limit of windows it will allow. Intel core 2 with 2 GB ram. My old computer ran XP with a lot less ram and I never had trouble running all my needed programs. What is the problem with Vista?!

I learnt that lesson years ago when I let an old version of Windows 3.11 compress my drive to get more space and then something corrupted the file and I I am needing to back up my settings first to something external to the PC (Ie my network server share) and then blow the computer away and do a clean install.
